What is the dead season?

“The dead season” refers to the period of autumn and winter when the landscape undergoes a significant change.

During this time, leaves fall from the trees, grass becomes dormant, and many plants appear lifeless or inactive. This transition occurs as temperatures drop and daylight hours shorten, leading to a decrease in photosynthesis and plant growth.

The dead season typically follows the vibrant colors of autumn and precedes the renewal of spring. It’s a time when nature seems to slow down, and the landscape takes on a more subdued and barren, but still beautiful, appearance.
